Transportation

Intro:
Adaloquo is flexible when it comes to modes of transportation. Its main transit system is its Network of Elevated Transit (NET) for in-city transportation. NET towers are located at the vertices and center of each hexagon zone and are eye-shaped for safety precautions.

In-Depth:
NET has three levels of transportation throughout the city. The lowest level is elevated piezoelectric cycle paths, which ensure safety for cyclists. Every building that the bike paths travel through have both bike rentals and bike racks to store bikes. Above the Bike Path level is the track for LoquoPods, a magnetic levitation pod that hangs below, to the sides, or floats above its track. LoquoPods move at speeds upwards of 150 mph and are electric, so no harmful emissions are produced. LoquoPods is public-private transportation, meaning that anyone can use it at a cheap price, but it only stops where you want it to, and you and your group doesn’t have anyone else in your pod. The top-level is the Rapid Rail system, which travels in between each pod rather than each zone. The Rapid Rail travels at speeds of 800 mph and travels along the exterior of the city as well as between Aqua Towers. It is powered by algae biofuels. The Rapid Rail system is also how citizens travel to WADES, as well as to other towns and cities. At ground level, the city has 15 foot wide paths for on-foot commutes. All of these paths are permeable surfaces, which naturally replenish the water table under LA.
