Agriculture
Intro:
Adaloquo’s agricultural system provides food to all citizens while reducing water use, minimizing space, and reducing carbon emissions. In agriculture zones, vertical farming saves space while growing the majority of Adaloquo's food.

In-Depth:
-
Climate control sensors optimize crop yields by monitoring temperature and moisture levels. Rainwater runoff and greywater are stored in the highest levels of the building. The water is gravity fed to the crops below. As the water passes through the soil of the crops and graphene filters throughout, the water is filtered and recycled to storage.
-
Organic waste produced from agriculture is treated through anaerobic digestion, which uses bacteria to produce compost and biogas, which are put back into the vertical farming facilities to maintain the system.
-
Spirulina and other nutrient-rich seaweeds are grown on the island of WADES, and a portion of the seaweed is turned into biodegradable plastics, which replace harmful single-use plastic in our city's ecosystem.
